Yesterday, July 22nd, the National Union of Calligraphers was issued the certificate of registration with the Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District. Registration number 3629. The full name of the Union of Calligraphers is as follows: “Non-Profit Partnership of Assistance to the Revival of the Art of Calligraphy “The National Union of Calligraphers”.
Chobitko P. P. was elected President of the Presidium of the National Union of Calligraphers, and Shaburov A. Yu. was elected Director of the National Union of Calligraphers.
The idea of the establishment of the National Union of Calligraphers first surfaced on May 14th, 2008 during the International Exhibition of Calligraphy. The union was supposed to bring together the masters of writing from all over the world and to revive the art of calligraphy, which has deep historical roots in Russia.
On the day of the presentation, the participants signed the hand-written document confirming the beginning of the way to the implementation of this project.
